Step 1
Cut your head plate by CNC or Water Jet cutting from stock aluminum material.

A new head gasket can be a great source to acquire measurements needed for the
custom head plate. Extrudabody plans to carry some of the most popular
head plates in the future. Please contact us for assistance or a
recommendation for a source to fabricate a head plate.
Step 2
Mock up and cut the runners to achieve 90mm bore
spacing for the Extrudabody Weld Plate

Step 3
TIG weld runners to the Extrudabody Weld Plate and your Head
Plate

ITBs on Weld Plate:

Notes:
- Most modern engines have fairly evenly spaced ports while older engines
usually require more space between cylinders 2 and 3. Blank Weld
Plates are available so you can reduce the runner angles if needed to
improve flow characteristics
- Clean-up work on the ports after welding can be expected
- Securing plates to a weld table helps hold shape when welded
- Runners can be cut lengthwise in a pie shape and rewelded to create
tapered runners.
